So I came up with this new goal for myself (and kind of this blog.) I've been stuck in a routine of going to work every day and then being so tired that I come home to nap or just hang out with friends. It really hasn't been helping my photography so when my friend Hannah took me to an abandoned construction zone the other day....I decided that I'm going regularly to find new places in my area to take pictures. I want to do this once a week but that may be optimistic.
The crazy thing about this construction zone is that it looks like something straight out of the desert but its only 30 minutes from my house! I've been living in the area for almost 13 years now and I never knew that this place, or any of the other photo-worthy places near it, existed.
The area itself was really cool. I think part of it is still in use but there was one fenced-off area (yes, I broke the law and trespassed. I'm a rebel, I know) that totally reminded me of those post-apocalyptic zombie movies because it looked like a house but an imploded house.
post-apocalyptic area
so look forward to seeing pictures from all over my area! I'm excited to start this new project :)
